Formatting

My signature says that due to invalid formatting, all formatting has been ignored. How do I change that? Thanks

Important Papers

We have been fulltiming for about five years and still wonder about this. Do you carry your birth certificates, SS cards, living wills, etc., or do you have them in a safe place at your home base? Our home base is our son's house and we have a safe there. Do we need to carry these things with us, or can we just get him to send them to us if we need them? We've left them with him some and carried them some. We just have a locked file cabinet. Thanks for input.

RE: Full Time in Travel Trailer

We FT'd with 30ft Coachman Catalina with NO SLIDES and just recently upgraded to a Keystone Cougar 30ft with two slides. It's doable!

RE: Myrtle Beach campgrounds

Have been to both and think with the kids, I would choose Pirateland. They have a bit more to offer as far as pools, etc. Both are nice..a bit pricey in the summer...but good places

Husky hitch with dual cam

Does anyone know anything about this type of hitch? Hubby just got one from our brother-in-law. We're going to give it a try. He seems to think that it is a better one than we had. Did have Reese. This one is for more weight. Thanks

Sleep Number Bed

Didn't know if this was the right forum or not...but was wondering if anyone out there has the Sleep Number Bed for RVs. We're considering it. Our son has the regular one and just loves it. Don't want to spend all that money if it doesn't really give relief. Thanks...know it will just be personal opinions, but that helps.

RE: Pesty "Fruit" flies!!!

Thanks for the replies. Good advice from everyone. We haven't left the valves open, but who knows how they got in there. Love the idea about the mason jar...AND washing the fruit!

Pesty "Fruit" flies!!!

Has anyone had any success (or any problems) with little itty bitty flies??? We have them in our trailer and can't seem to get rid of them. I think they came in several months ago with some fruit. Got rid of all the fruit and also don't have any other food laying around. They also seem to be gathering around the toilet. Could they be coming from the holding tank? They are driving me crazy! Didn't know what kind, if any, spray to use. ANY help would be appreciated.

RE: Window caulking

Thanks for the replies....never intended for this to be a "he said, she said" thing!! LOL Just looking for some advice. Thanks, Keith. I think that was DH's thoughts. He's adventerous...I'm "black & white", show me first!! I'll pass on the information to him. Hey, we've been married for 45 years...a little thing like window caulking isn't going to change that!! LOL

Window caulking

Have a question about caulking around windows. DH wants to remove the excess sealant (black) that is showing around the windows and then use clear caulking around them. Is this a good or bad idea? His reasoning is that when we wash the trailer, it would eliminate some of the black streaking...thinks this black sealant might be one of the culprits. I'm of the opinion that "if it's not broke, don't fix it". Interested in any feedback. Thanks

RE: Hwy 221 North Carolina

Traveled on 221 near West Jefferson...northern end...and it was VERY curvy and narrow. 221 off of 421 going TO West Jefferson is not bad, but the other end was! We wouldn't pull a camper that way! That is, unless there was not another route. If you do, just watch for traffic coming toward you and hang on!!!
